IV. E. 5. High School Diplomas


West Warwick High School diplomas shall be printed with the full name of the student, the school, the full date of graduation, and the course of studies pursued by the student during his or her undergraduate studies.

Student may select from the following course of studies or opt to omit any mention of a course of studies: College Preparatory, Business Education, Industrial Education, General, provided they have met all the requirements for such a course of studies as set forth by West Warwick High School and approved by the West Warwick School Committee.

The Superintendent of Schools, the Principal, and the chair of the West Warwick School Committee shall sign diplomas, if available. Should the occasion arise when the chair of the school committee is unavailable, another member may sign the diplomas.

High School Diplomas for Special Education Students

In accordance with the Rhode Island Department of Education Regulations Regarding the Education of Students with Disabilities once a special education student has completed a 12th grade program at West Warwick Senior High School, that student has the right to participate in all of the graduation ceremonies. That person shall also receive a standard high school diploma at the same time the graduating class receives their diplomas.
