Effort Honor Roll
Purpose:
The purpose of the Ashton School Effort Honor Roll is to honor consistently outstanding effort at school. We recognize that consistent effort is a critical element in the success of any child at school and in life. The Ashton School Effort Honor Roll is recognition of this fact.
Procedure:
Teachers will compile an Effort Honor Roll list quarterly at report card time. Names of students, by grade level, will be submitted to The Valley Breeze and/or other local newspapers for publication.
The Honor Roll will be displayed in the foyer.
Pencils or certificates will be awarded to students who are being honored.
Criteria:
The following are the criteria or standards for determining which students will be recognized for their outstanding effort.
Homework- Consistently on time
- Consistently complete
- Consistently high in quality, content and appearance Class Work
- Consistently completed on time
- Consistently high in quality, content and appearance
- Consistently demonstrates evidence of involvement in class activities in various and appropriate ways
- Consistently and appropriately contributes to group tasks and presentations
- Consistently exhibits politeness, kindness and respect toward other
- Consistently exhibits respect for the property of other
- Consistently follows classroom and school rules
- Consistently works to best of ability
