Adult Workforce Development

The Education Exchange is a not for profit organization serving the Rhode Island towns of: Block Island, Charlestown, Exeter, Hopkinton, Jamestown, Narragansett, North Kingstown, Richmond, South Kingstown, Westerly and West Greenwich. It is learning-centered in- struction with a certified teaching staff and trained literacy volunteers. Education Exchange provides services in various locations.

The mission of the Education Exchange is to positively impact the communities of Southern Rhode Island  by providing basic educational opportunities for adults.

Education Exchange offers:

  • Free Courses
  • Education for Adults 16 and older
  • Highly Trained Staff
  • One-on-One and small groups
  • Convenient Sites
  • Day and Evening Classes

Programs are as follows:

  • High School Equivalency Diploma (GED)
  • Preparation and Testing
  • Literacy: Reading and Writing Fundamentals
  • Adult Basic Education: Upgrade academic skills to achieve personal goals
  • English as a Second Language (ESL):
    • Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced Levels
    • Improve English listening, reading, speaking and writing skills
