Transit to RESOLUTE via Ottowa from RHODE ISLAND |
| Oct. 10 | Meet waiting hellicopter at RESOLUTE airport 1730 hours for transfer to LOUIS ST. LAURENT |
| Oct. 10-24 | LOUIS ST. LAURENT will hunt thick ice in the Barrow Straight/ Lancaster Sound region (A problem has developed with one of the screws of the Louis St. Laurent. We will be joined as supernumeraries (extra crew aboard the LOUIS ST. LAURENT) with engineers who willl be working on the problem.) |
| Oct. 24-25 | LOUIS ST. LAURENT will rendezvous with and escort the M. V. ARCTIC to lead/zinc mine on LITTLE CORNWALLIS ISLAND (76 N Latitude- the northernmost point of the voyage) |
| Oct. 26 | - From LITTLE CORNWALLLIS ISLAND, the LOUIS ST. LAURENT will continue "end of the Nov. 12 season" duties in BARROW STRAIGHT and LANCASTER SOUND, proceeding through DAVIS STRAIGHT into HUDSON STRAIGHT. Concluding duties in HUDSON STRAIGHT, the LOUIS ST. LAURENT will continue south along the LABRADOR coast past NEW FOUNDLAND to her home port in DARTMOUTH, NOVA SCOTIA (the approximate length of the entire course aboard the LOUIS ST. LAURENT will be 3000 nautical miles) |
